Rock 'n' Soul Mourns the Loss of Les Paul
The Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum mourns the loss of a musical legend. Les Paul, who invented the solid-body electric guitar later wielded by a legion of rock 'n' roll greats, died today of complications from pneumonia. He was 94. For many years, the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum had the privilege of occupying a space inside Memphis' downtown Gibson Guitar Factory, where the legendary Les Paul guitars were built by hand.
